2024 Election: Major Political Figures Compete in Crucial Districts

As the nation prepares for the upcoming general elections, the political landscape has ignited with high-stakes competitions involving prominent figures from various parties. A total of 266 national and 593 provincial assembly seats are up for grabs, captivating the attention of the public and political enthusiasts across the country.

In NA-130, Lahore, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif is competing against PTI-backed Dr. Yasmin Rashid. Meanwhile, in NA-10, Buner, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan faces JI’s Sher Akbar Khan. In NA-44, Dera Ismail Khan, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman is standing against PTI-backed Ali Amin Gandapur and PPP former National Assembly deputy speaker Faisal Karim Kundi.

The competition continues in various districts such as NA-127, Lahore, where PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is up against PML-N’s Atta Tarar and PTI-backed Abbas Khokhar. In NA-6, Lower Dir, JI’s Ameer Sirajul Haq is vying against PTI-backed Bashir Khan. Additionally, NA-264, Quetta, will witness a contest between BNP-M chief Akhtar Mengal and PPP’s Mir Jamal Khan Raisani.

Furthermore, people in NA-266, Killa Abdullah-cum-Chaman, will be choosing between PkMAP chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai or JUI-F’s Maulana Salahuddin. In NA-248, Karachi, MQM-P Rabita Committee Convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui is contesting against PTI-backed Arsalan Khalid. NA-24, Charsadda, will showcase a competition between Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) chief Aftab Sherpao and PTI-backed Anwar Taj. In NA-149, Multan, IPP Patron Jahangir Tareen is facing PTI-backed Aamir Dogar.

These elections also feature high-profile contests in NA-253, Ziarat-cum-Harnai-cum-Sibbi-cum-Kohlu-cum-Dera Bugti, NA-33, Nowshera, NA-56, Rawalpindi, NA-207, Nawabshah, NA-123, Lahore, NA-48, Multan, NA-119, Lahore, NA-118, Lahore, NA-117, Lahore, NA-241, Karachi, NA-71, Sialkot, NA-19, Swabi, NA-54, Rawalpindi, NA-122, Lahore, NA-246, Karachi, NA-100, Faisalabad, NA-11, Shangla, and NA-18, Haripur.
