2024 Holiday Schedule Released

Express News reported that the official announcement of public holidays for 2024 has been published by the Federal Cabinet Division, setting a complete schedule from beginning to end. The list of days is marked by both religious and national occasions, providing the public as well as businesses with a clear indication.

The announcement also reported that the first holiday of the year will be February 5 to celebrate Kashmir Day and March 23 for Pakistan Day. The Eid ul Fitr holidays will be April 10, 11, and 12 celebrating the end of Ramazan. May 1 is Labor Day and June 17 to 19 are Eid ul Azha holidays. Ashura holidays for Muharram are July 16 and 17, Independence Day on August 4, Eid Miladun Nabi (May Allah’s Peace Be Upon Him) on September 16), and Iqbal Day on Nov.

Those who are Islamic observers will have the option of taking Shab-e-Meraj on February 7 and Shab-e-Barat in need. There will also be holidays for non-Muslims, including Basant Panchami (February 14), Shivratri (March 8), Holi or Festival of Flowers and Colors (March), Dulahandi on March 25, Good Friday on March 29), Easter holidays from March 31 to April 1, Baisakhi on April 13, Eid-ul-Rizwan for the Baha’i community on April 21, Buddhist Purnima on March 23, and Nowruz, the Parsi New Year, on August 15.

Furthermore, bank holidays have been established. January 1st is the first bank holiday of this year. In addition, January 1 is an optional New Year’s holiday. With this kind of comprehensive holiday schedule, everyone will be able to plan their business activities and government officials won’t forget about important dates.
