Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) unveils substantial natural gas reserves in Sajawal district, Sindh, providing a ray of hope amid the nation’s persistent energy crisis.
The discovery, made during drilling operations at Shah Bandar in Jhum East One, marks a milestone for Pakistan’s state-owned petroleum giant. Initial tests showcase promising results, with a wellhead flowing pressure reaching 13.69 million standard cubic feet and a potential daily production of 236 barrels.
PPL’s spokesperson highlights the newfound reserves’ crucial role in bolstering the nation’s hydrocarbon reserves and addressing the longstanding energy shortage. This success owes much too collaborative efforts between PPL, Murree Petroleum, Sindh Energy Holding, and Government Holding Private Limited.
