“We really could not have got many more lessons from this tour,” remarked Coach Mott. Acknowledging West Indies’ well-deserved victory, he highlighted the positive performances from the England team, noting, “There’s some exciting things in the pipeline.”
Despite the limited T20 International action before the World Cup, Mott downplayed concerns, emphasizing that England’s players are actively participating in various white-ball leagues worldwide. He noted that these franchise-level opportunities provide significant exposure and experience in the T20 format.
“It’s not as big an issue as people think,” Mott explained during an interview with TNT Sports. He emphasized that England’s players are gaining valuable playing time in white-ball leagues globally, contributing to their overall development and readiness for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
While the recent series defeat serves as a learning experience, Mott remains optimistic about England’s prospects, citing the promising performances and the wealth of opportunities players receive at the franchise level.
