At Lincolnshire Wildlife Park in the UK signs are placed around the aviary, warning guests about the explicit language. The signs humorously advise, “For your information, every common swear word can be heard in this aviary, so please be aware if you have people with you of a sensitive nature.”

The story tracks backs to 2020 viral sensations loquacious African Grey parrots, who came into limelight when they were have been caught in a hilarious exchange of expletives that left both visitors and park officials in stitches.

The trouble began when the parrots, confined together during the pandemic, transformed their quarantine into an informal swear-word academy. The birds, named Billy, Elsie, Eric, Jade, and Tyson, became the ringleaders of a feathery frenzy, teaching each other an impressive repertoire of curse words and cheeky phrases.

“People have come to us, but they think it’s highly amusing. We haven’t had one complaint,” chuckled Steve Nichols, the park’s CEO, recalling the parrots’ profanity-laden performances that somehow brought laughter to a challenging year.

Now, faced with a raucous aviary echoing with expletives, the park’s chief executive, Steve Nichols, has hatched a comedic plan. Nichols decided to bring in 92 “non-swearing” parrots to serve as linguistic role models, hoping their good manners would rub off on their loquacious counterparts.

“I’m hoping, above the general noise of the flock, the swearing will be drowned out,” Nichols quipped in an interview with CNN, outlining the park’s strategy to dilute the explicit language with the more wholesome chatter of the non-swearing birds.

Despite the uproarious attempts to curb the parrots’ colorful vocabulary, Nichols humorously admitted that the plan is a bit risky. “If all goes wrong, we could have 100 cussing parrots,” he added, hinting at the potential chaos that might ensue.

So, next time you visit, be prepared for a unique birdshow, but watch out for sensitive ears!
