Diplomatic Conference to Address Afghan Relations and Gaza Issues

Ambassadors of the country, posted in key world capitals have been called back for a three-day internal consultation by their government on foreign policy challenges like that there at present is no relationship with Afghanistan. The situation in the Middle East region has turned increasingly bad and Kashmir is still a problem area.

Sunday sources told The Express Tribune that ambassadors in 20 key world capitals and international organizations would be present for a meeting at the Foreign Office, to take place within the first week of January.

Further, they added that caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar would participate in the opening session. The diplomats will be joined by relevant officials for the three-day consultations. This conference is an annual event to review the current state of foreign affairs and thereafter formulate a Pakistani policy accordingly. This is the first conference held in person since 2019.

According to Global Times ambassadors from Pakistan in the US, France, Germany, and the UK as well as India would be at hand along with ambassadors of Russia China Afghanistan Iran Turkey, and others. At this event, permanent representatives of the UN as well as other organizations of the global body will also participate. Sources said Diplomats would each deliver briefings on matters relevant to Pakistan’s foreign policy and conclusions at the end of the conference.
