LIFESTYLE

In response to circulating rumors, the Ministry of Interior has refuted claims suggesting that the federal government has declared a four-day holiday for Eid ul Fitr, asserting that the authorities are yet to finalize any decisions regarding the matter.

A fake notification circulating on various social media platforms purportedly states that Prime Minister has declared April 9th to April 12th as public holidays in observance of Eid ul Fitr. However, the Interior Ministry spokesperson, in a statement on Sunday, categorically labeled the circulating notification as “fake.”

“The federal government has not made any official announcement regarding Eid ul Fitr holidays,” the spokesperson emphasized, adding that any decisions made by the government will be communicated through an official notification.

While the federal government is yet to announce Eid ul Fitr holidays, the Punjab government has taken steps to declare a nine-day holiday for Daanish schools in the province. According to a notification issued on Saturday, Daanish Schools in Punjab will remain closed from April 6th to April 14th in celebration of Eid ul Fitr.

It’s customary for Eid holidays to commence a day earlier than the anticipated date, allowing individuals ample time for preparations and participation in the joyous festivities.

As anticipation builds for the upcoming Eid ul Fitr celebrations, individuals across the country await official confirmation from the government regarding holiday arrangements, which will be disseminated through formal channels.
