Jamaat-e-Islami Leader Sirajul Haq’s Concerns and Calls for Change in Pakistan

PAKISTAN

In a talk at Timergara town in the Lower Dir district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the leader Sirajul Haq from Jamaat-e-Islami talked about his worries about the state of the country.

He blamed PML-N, PPP, and others who want change on these parties guiding the country towards personal family rule. This is believed to include his enemies within Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI).
Dr. Haq thinks that the elections coming on February 8 will be a sad day for those who want royal families to rule, free Kashmir, and let Dr. Aafia Siddiqui out of jail in the United States right now.

He said that institutions like courts and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) have not held ruling leaders responsible. He argued people will do things themselves because they are disappointed.
Haq said that the stunningly wrong use of around Rs13.6 billion happens every day in the country, and he pointed out how the ruling group related to Panama and Pandora papers.

He blamed them for stealing from Toshakhana (gift storage). He emphasized how important it is to have clear elections quickly and fix the problems this country is facing.
Haq asked people to help their country’s future by supporting his party in the upcoming elections. Even with safety problems in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, he didn’t agree to delay the elections. He said it might be because some parties think they could lose if voting was held earlier.
Haq admitted that 35 generals and parties like PML-N, PPP, and PTI helped maintain things as they were in Pakistan for 76 years. However, he also said their economic rules weren’t good.

He thinks these policies hurt the economy by taking on too much debt from places like the IMF and World Bank.
In the end, Haq said that these groups forced an “unfair” interest system in the country and now can’t show any good work to the nation.

He thinks that upcoming elections are a way for people to choose if they want things to stay the same or bring in true change for a bright and successful future of Pakistan.
