Karachi Police to Employ Breathalysers for Detection of Drunk Drivers on New Year’s Eve

PAKISTAN

The traffic police in Karachi have said they will use breathalyzers to catch drunk drivers on New Year’s Eve. This was announced by the police spokesperson Ibrar Hussain Baloch on Saturday. The police made a big statement that they won’t tolerate any alcohol or drugs in cars. They set strict rules against it.

The statement says that if someone drives while drinking or uses guns in the air, they will be caught right away. They will also get punished based on current laws and might have their cars taken away from them. The police showed they will be strict about these rules, in line with orders from the boss of Karachi police and DIG Traffic.

The plan, made in response to worries about traffic on New Year’s Eve, wants to make sure every person is safe. The cops talked about their plan to let people have fun at parties without any trouble from some people doing things they aren’t allowed.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar said there will be no New Year parties, as a show of support for the Palestinian people. Kakar asked the country to show honesty and modesty during New Year celebrations. This showed a bigger need for people coming together and helping with something important, not just parties. As the Karachi traffic police prepare for more strict rules, big decisions like stopping New Year celebrations across the country make this coming new year a much bigger deal. Connecting safety actions and meaningful signs shows the different ideas that shape people’s lives in these events.
