Twenty-five talented artists hailing from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) have joined forces to create a poignant and powerful song, ‘Rajieen’, dedicated to Palestine. The proceeds from this eight-and-a-half-minute anthem will be directed to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, underscoring the artists’ commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause.

‘Rajieen’ is more than just a song; it is an anthem that transcends geographical boundaries, embodying the spirit of resilience and resistance. The song stands as a heartfelt tribute to the bravery of the Palestinian people and serves as a poignant call to action for Arab leaders to come to their aid.

The haunting refrain within the song serves as a reminder of the enduring power of voices, with the echo, “should I lose my voice, yours will remain.”

The collaboration of artists behind ‘Rajieen’ includes Saif Safadi, Dana Salah, Ghalia Chaker, Afroto, Nordo, Saif Shroof, A5rass, Issam Alnajjar, Balti, Amir Eid, Weesam Qutub, Dina Wideidi, Saif Bataineh, Omar Rammal, AlYung & Randar, Vortex, Small X, ALA, Fuad Gritli, Donia Wael, Zeyne, Marwan Moussa, Marwan Pablo, and Dafencii.

The music video for ‘Rajieen’ seamlessly blends real-life footage from Palestine, under occupation by Israeli forces, with scenes of the artists in a dimly lit studio, all dressed in black. The song brings attention to the ongoing struggles faced by the people of Palestine, who endure the inability to voice their grievances and lead normal lives.

A resounding line from the song encapsulates the artists’ commitment: “We do not just stand in solidarity with the cause; we are its custodians.” This statement is prominently featured in the music video alongside images of the singers.

The song’s lyrics include another stirring refrain, expressing the deep connection to their homeland:

“But the key to my home remains in my heart,

And I’m returning with my children in my arms

Even if the whole world stands against me

I am returning, O my country.”

In a touching conclusion to the music video, the artists pay tribute to the brave journalists and photojournalists working in Palestine and Gaza. Their names, including Wael Al Dahdouh, Wissam Nassar, Motaz Azaiza, Ali Jadallah, Plestia Alaqad, Bissan Wizard, Mohammed Faye, Zaher Saleh, Mohammed Al Aloul, Ayman Abu Ramooz, Sanad Latifa, Thaer Mounir, and Hisham Abu Shaqra, are displayed as a gesture of appreciation for their tireless work in documenting the stories of the Palestinian people.
