Pakistan Urges Afghanistan for Swift Action Against Terror Entities Following Blasts in Balochistan

PAKISTAN

Pakistan has urged Afghanistan to swiftly take action against terror entities and hand over their leadership, following multiple blasts in various parts of Balochistan, including the provincial capital Quetta. The explosions resulted in one fatality and left four others injured.

During her weekly briefing in Islamabad, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch emphasized Pakistan’s longstanding concerns over the terror threat originating from Afghanistan. Responding to inquiries, she highlighted the Indian external affairs ministry’s failure to refute credible evidence regarding New Delhi’s involvement in extraterritorial and extra-judicial killings in Pakistan.

Baloch reiterated Pakistan’s stance on India’s alleged support for terrorist activities within its borders, stressing that such accusations lack credibility and are baseless. She also underscored Pakistan’s efforts to share evidence of India’s involvement in terror acts with friendly and relevant countries.

Expressing serious concerns over attacks on Muslim places of worship in India, Baloch condemned the ongoing campaign to demolish mosques and replace them with temples, describing it as a stain on Indian democracy.

Furthermore, Pakistan announced plans to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5, reaffirming its unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.

Addressing the recent killing of nine Pakistani workers in Iran, Baloch denounced the inhumane act and called for cooperation between Pakistan and Iran to investigate the incident thoroughly. In addition, she urged the full implementation of the International Court of Justice’s judgment to uphold the rights of the Palestinian people and appealed to the UN Security Council to intervene to halt ongoing atrocities in Gaza. Pakistan remains committed to combatting terrorism and advocating for justice and human rights on the global stage, as reiterated by Baloch in her briefing.
