Two important space agencies that are from Russia and the United States of America will be working together till 2025 to extend their mission for crew members. This unique partnership showcased between Russia and the USA within their space mission during this unprecedented tension, which would highlight a rare aspect of cooperation.

The decision to extend the joint missions among different countries has been made with a purpose to improve overall working and reliability of the international space station. To ensure a continued presence of the international partners, at least one representative from NASA would be on the Russian Segment and one representative from Roscosmos would be on the American segment of ISS.

The International Space Station (ISS) was initiated in 1998 between the collaboration of the United States and Russia. There are commitments made by the ISS partners till 2024, but US officials have shown interest in extending the commitment to the year 2030.

In April Roscosmos proclaimed that they planned to use the ISS until 2028. This decision was against an early announcement in which Russia declared to finish its project with the International Space Station by 2024. The commitment to share the responsibility of running the ISS among different countries reflects itself in the shape of increasing operations continuing until 2025.

The collaboration between different countries signifies the importance of scientific exploration during challenges. By working on space missions on the international level, the US and Russia have shown that the power of collaboration knows no boundaries. The decision reconfirmed that the International Space Station will be operated and it is better to collaborate internationally for bigger goals.
